 Polite Manners 1: This a beginner class for dogs over 19 weeks of age.  In this 7-week class we focus on teaching our dogs to pay attention to us and ignore distractions while learning polite manners in the process. Our typical participants are puppies 6 months to any age that can benefit from learning polite house manners and focus skills.  While we do not offer puppy play in this class, we will work on polite leash greetings with dogs and humans.  In addition, we learn sit/stay, down/stay, polite leash walking, leave it, come when called, stay/release, drop it, leash handling, polite leash walking, greeting politely and more.  Teaching your dog an alternate behavior to reduce problems like jumping on guests, chewing, mouthing and barking are among our musts in this class. 

Polite Manners 2:  This is a 6-week intermediate class for dogs of any age.  Dogs should have attended a puppy manners class or other beginner class to attend.  This class takes beginner training to the next level.  We will focus on much more on technique in this level.  The goal is to get more reliable sits, stays, recall and more.  We spend time getting it right, setting our dogs up for success and rewarding our dogs’ successes.  We will challenge them with more distractions and some new behaviors.  Fun class, I am always impressed with how well dog/dog handlers with these new challenges.  This class incorporates one off site training class to be held at a dog friendly location such as Home Depot or Lowes.  *current covid conditions considered 

New Puppy Help! – Let us help you get started with your new puppy at home. It can be overwhelming with the house training, puppy biting, lack of sleep, crate training choices, managing puppies and children and much more.  We will come to you!  Learn the do’s and don’ts of house training, puppy biting, bonding, crating, puppy proofing, puppy and children relationships, appropriate socialization, handling and more.  In person private 60-90 minute training session.

Dogs and Babies - Prepare your dog for new baby – best time frame for training is early to midway into your pregnancy.  Learn how to brush up your dog’s basic manners skills, how to acclimate your dog to upcoming changes in your home, improve greeting skills and calm behavior, teach your dog to be okay with barriers and personal space.  Learn how to acclimate your dog to baby crying, gurgling sounds as well as new smells and visitors.  This is in-person personalized training.  Training sessions vary

 Semi – group Manners classes for behaviors such as walking on leash, overly social dogs, jumpers, mouthy pups and more.
